Sihil Mupiral Ointment 15 ml is a topical antibacterial preparation formulated with Mupirocin IP 2% w/w in a suitable ointment base. It is a homogeneous, off-white, translucent, water-soluble, and odourless ointment intended for external use.

Sihil Mupiral Ointment is indicated for the topical treatment of bacterial skin infections, including:
Impetigo
Folliculitis
Furunculosis
Ecthyma
Infected eczema, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis
Infected traumatic lesions such as ulcers, minor burns, cuts, abrasions, lacerations, wounds, biopsy sites, surgical incisions and insect bites
It may also be used prophylactically to help prevent bacterial contamination in minor burns, biopsy sites, incisions and other clean lesions. For minor cuts, wounds, and abrasions, prophylactic use may support infection prevention and normal wound healing.
Apply a small amount to the affected area three times daily for up to 10 days, or as directed by a healthcare professional. The treated area may be covered with a gauze dressing if required.
In the rare event of sensitisation or severe local irritation, discontinue use, remove the product, and consult a healthcare professional.
Not suitable for ophthalmic use, intranasal use, use in conjunction with cannulae, or at the site of central venous cannulation.
Animal studies do not indicate reproductive toxicity. Studies in rats showed no effects on fertility. Adequate human data during pregnancy and lactation are not available; use only if clearly needed and advised by a healthcare professional.
For external use only. Store as directed on the pack. Keep out of reach of children.
