Torsepet is a veterinary prescription oral tablet from Oriheal containing Torasemide, a potent loop diuretic (sulphonamide class), indicated for the management of fluid accumulation associated with congestive heart failure (CHF) and chronic cardiac disease in dogs and cats. By inhibiting the Na+/K+/2Cl− cotransporter in the ascending loop of Henlé, Torasemide promotes renal excretion of excess sodium, chloride, and water, reducing cardiac preload, pulmonary oedema, ascites, and peripheral oedema. Available in two strengths — 2.5mg for small dogs, cats, and initial dose titration; 10mg for larger dogs or higher therapeutic requirements.
