Oriheal Petvomi Fix is a veterinary prescription antiemetic formulation containing Ondansetron (as Ondansetron IP), a selective 5-HT3 (serotonin type 3) receptor antagonist, manufactured by Oriheal Lifesciences. Indicated for the management of nausea, vomiting, and emesis in dogs and cats associated with chemotherapy, gastroenteritis, post-operative recovery, uraemia, hepatic disease, and other conditions causing central or peripheral 5-HT3-mediated emesis. Available in three formulations: 4mg palatable tablets, 8mg palatable tablets, and 2mg/5ml oral suspension (60ml) for small patients and precise weight-based dosing.

Mechanism of Action

• Ondansetron selectively blocks 5-HT3 (serotonin type 3) receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ), vagal afferents of the GI tract, and nucleus tractus solitarius — the primary peripheral and central pathways triggering nausea and vomiting in dogs and cats
• Does not block dopamine (D2) receptors — minimal sedation and extrapyramidal side effects compared to metoclopramide

Directions for Use
