Oriheal Petopenem FR is a veterinary prescription oral antibiotic tablet containing Faropenem Sodium 200mg, manufactured by Oriheal Lifesciences. Faropenem is an oral penem — a beta-lactam antibiotic structurally related to carbapenems — with broad-spectrum activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including many ESBL-producing and multidrug-resistant (MDR) strains. Petopenem FR is indicated for resistant bacterial infections of the urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, and respiratory tract in dogs and cats when first- and second-line antibiotics have failed or when culture and sensitivity results indicate faropenem susceptibility.
