Oriheal Opthovet Tears Ophthalmic Lubricant Eye Drops for Dogs & Cats (10ml)
Oriheal Opthovet Tears is a veterinary ophthalmic lubricant eye drop formulation manufactured by Oriheal Lifesciences, designed to restore and maintain ocular surface moisture in dogs and cats with dry eye conditions. Indicated for keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS / dry eye syndrome), tear film deficiency, ocular surface irritation, and post-surgical eye dryness. The lubricant solution stabilises the precorneal tear film, reduces friction-related ocular surface damage, and relieves discomfort, redness, and irritation caused by inadequate tear production or environmental irritants.
Composition (per ml — confirm from product label)
- Active ophthalmic lubricant(s) — to be confirmed from physical label (typically Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium / CMC, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose / HPMC, or Sodium Hyaluronate at stated concentration)
- Preserved or preservative-free ophthalmic base — confirm from label (preservative-free preferred for long-term use in KCS)
Therapeutic Class
- Veterinary ophthalmic lubricant / artificial tear preparation for dogs and cats — dry eye, KCS, tear deficiency, and post-surgical ocular surface management
Key Benefits
- Restores and stabilises the precorneal tear film — provides sustained ocular surface lubrication in dry eye and KCS
- Relieves ocular discomfort, redness, and irritation caused by tear film insufficiency or environmental irritants (dust, wind, smoke, pollution)
- Supports post-surgical ocular surface recovery — maintains corneal and conjunctival moisture after ophthalmic surgery
- Gentle, non-irritating lubricant base — suitable for regular instillation in chronic dry eye management
- Protects the ocular surface from damage secondary to inadequate tear film lubrication
Indications
- Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS) — dry eye syndrome in dogs and cats
- Tear film deficiency and inadequate tear production
- Ocular surface irritation from environmental irritants (dust, wind, smoke, pollen)
- Post-surgical eye dryness following ophthalmic surgery
- Supportive care in corneal ulcer management (as adjunct to specific corneal therapy)
- General ocular surface lubrication and comfort maintenance
Directions for Use
- Instill as directed by a licensed veterinarian — for external ophthalmic use only
- Gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket; instill the prescribed number of drops into the conjunctival sac
- Allow the animal to blink to distribute the drops across the ocular surface
- Do not allow the dropper tip to contact the eye, eyelids, or any surface to prevent contamination
- Replace cap immediately after use; discard as directed on label after opening
Safety Information
- For veterinary ophthalmic use only — administer under licensed veterinary supervision
- Do not use if the solution is discoloured or contains particulate matter
- If eye redness, swelling, or discharge worsens after instillation, discontinue and consult a veterinarian immediately
- Keep out of reach of children; store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight; keep bottle tightly closed after use
