Vivaldis Impromune Tablets for Dogs & Cats (10 Tablets)
Vivaldis Impromune is a veterinary immune modulator and immunostimulant tablet formulated for dogs and cats. Impromune is indicated to support and restore immune system function in pets with compromised, suppressed, or suboptimal immunity — including animals recovering from illness or surgery, those on long-term immunosuppressive therapy, geriatric pets with age-related immune decline (immunosenescence), and pets experiencing stress-induced or chronic-disease-associated immunosuppression. For use under veterinary prescription or guidance.
Note: Confirm the exact active ingredient(s) and composition from the product label (e.g. Levamisole HCl, Tilorone, plant-based immunostimulants such as Echinacea or Withania, or a proprietary blend) and update the composition and mechanism section accordingly.
Key Ingredient(s) & Mechanism (confirm from label)
-
Immune modulator / immunostimulant (confirm active from label — likely Levamisole HCl, Tilorone, or immunostimulant botanical complex): Veterinary immune modulators act through one or more of the following mechanisms depending on the active ingredient: (1) Levamisole HCl — if the active ingredient: Levamisole is a synthetic imidazothiazole anthelmintic with well-documented immunomodulatory properties; at sub-anthelmintic doses, Levamisole acts as an immunostimulant through: (a) restoration of depressed T-lymphocyte function — Levamisole increases T-cell proliferation, IL-2 production, and CD4+/CD8+ T-cell ratios in immunosuppressed animals by mimicking the action of thymic hormones (thymopoietin, thymosin); it restores T-cell responsiveness to mitogens (PHA, Con A) in anergic or immunosuppressed states; (b) macrophage and neutrophil activation — Levamisole enhances macrophage phagocytic capacity, chemotaxis, and intracellular killing of pathogens (respiratory burst, NO production); also enhances neutrophil chemotaxis and oxidative burst activity; (c) NK cell activation — augments natural killer cell cytotoxic activity; (d) antibody production — potentiates humoral immune responses (IgG, IgM) in hyporesponsive animals by restoring B-cell collaboration with T-helper cells; Levamisole does not stimulate an already-normal immune system to supraphysiological levels — it acts as a ‘biological response modifier’ restoring depressed immune function toward normal (immunorestoration rather than non-specific immunostimulation); (2) Tilorone — if the active ingredient: synthetic low-molecular-weight interferon inducer; induces Type I interferon (IFN-α/β) and Type II interferon (IFN-γ) production by macrophages and lymphocytes; enhances NK cell activity and T-cell proliferation; has antiviral and immunostimulant properties; (3) Plant-based immunostimulants (Echinacea, Withania somnifera, Andrographis, beta-glucans) — if included: Echinacea alkylamides activate macrophage phagocytosis via CB2 receptor agonism and NF-κB modulation; Withania (Ashwagandha) withanolides reduce cortisol-driven immunosuppression and restore T-cell and NK cell counts in stress-immunosuppressed animals; beta-glucans (β-1,3/1,6-glucan from yeast or mushrooms) bind Dectin-1 and CR3 receptors on macrophages and dendritic cells, activating innate immune responses and priming adaptive immunity
Therapeutic Class
- Veterinary immune modulator and immunostimulant — T-cell and macrophage immune restoration — recovery, chronic illness, debility, aging, stress-induced immunosuppression — dogs and cats
Indications
- Immune system support during recovery from illness, surgery, or infection
- Chronic disease-associated immunosuppression (parvoviral enteritis, distemper, FeLV, FIV, chronic bacterial/fungal infections)
- Post-vaccination immune support
- Age-related immune decline (immunosenescence) in geriatric dogs and cats
- Stress-induced immunosuppression (boarding, travel, rehoming, whelping)
- Adjunct to long-term corticosteroid or chemotherapy immune support under veterinary supervision
- General debility and convalescence
Dosage & Administration
- Administer as directed by a veterinarian; confirm dose per body weight and frequency from product label
- 10 tablets per pack; administer orally with or without food
Safety Information
- Use under veterinary guidance; confirm active ingredient and appropriate indication from veterinarian
- If Levamisole is the active: monitor for signs of CNS stimulation (agitation, tremors) at high doses; do not exceed recommended doses
- Keep out of reach of children; store in a cool, dry place
