Even indoor cats and kittens can be exposed to intestinal worms. Parasites may be picked up from the environment, during grooming, through infected prey, or by accidentally ingesting fleas. Because intestinal worms can remain unnoticed for some time, regular parasite control is an important part of responsible cat care.
Virbac Milpro Dewormer for Small Cats & Kittens is a broad-spectrum deworming tablet formulated for cats and kittens weighing 0.5 kg to 2 kg. It combines two active ingredients to help treat several common intestinal worm infections in a convenient, easy-to-administer tablet.
Manufactured by Virbac S.A., France, and marketed in India by Virbac Animal Health India Pvt. Ltd., Milpro is designed for veterinary use and should be administered according to the cat's body weight and veterinary guidance.
Broad-spectrum deworming: Helps treat multiple types of intestinal worms with one treatment.
For small cats and kittens: Specifically formulated for cats weighing 0.5 kg to 2 kg.
Helps control roundworms: Effective against common feline roundworm species.
Helps control hookworms: Targets susceptible hookworm infections.
Helps control tapeworms: Effective against several important feline tapeworm species.
Convenient tablet: A practical alternative to liquid deworming formulations.
Poultry-liver flavour: Film-coated tablets are naturally poultry-liver flavoured to help make administration easier.
Two active ingredients: Combines Milbemycin Oxime and Praziquantel for broad-spectrum intestinal parasite control.
Milpro is indicated for susceptible feline roundworms, including Toxocara cati and Toxascaris leonina. Roundworm infections can be particularly concerning in young cats and kittens.
The product helps treat susceptible Ancylostoma tubaeforme infections. Hookworms attach to the intestinal lining and can contribute to weakness and anaemia, particularly in young or heavily infected animals.
Milpro is also indicated for several tapeworm species, including Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus spp., Mesocestoides spp., and Joyeuxiella pasqualei.
Tapeworm infection can sometimes be noticed when small, rice-like segments are seen around the cat's anus or in their stool.
Each tablet contains:
Milbemycin Oxime – 4 mg
Praziquantel – 10 mg
Milbemycin Oxime provides activity against susceptible nematodes such as roundworms and hookworms, while Praziquantel provides activity against susceptible tapeworms.
Cats and kittens weighing: 0.5 kg to 2 kg
Always select the appropriate Milpro formulation based on your cat's body weight. The small-cat/kitten formulation should not be substituted for the adult-cat formulation without veterinary advice.
Use only according to the recommended dosage for your cat's body weight and veterinary instructions. Deworming frequency should depend on your cat's age, lifestyle, parasite exposure, and individual health needs.
For kittens, very small or underweight cats, pregnant or nursing cats, or cats with existing health concerns, consult a veterinarian before administration.
For veterinary use. Read the product label carefully and follow veterinary advice before use.
