Important safety information: For topical use on dogs only, applied to intact skin. Do not apply to open wounds, broken or severely inflamed skin, or to the eyes, ears or mucous membranes. Do not use in pets with known sensitivity to any component. This is a dermatological barrier-care emulsion, not an antibiotic, antifungal or parasiticide; infected or parasitic skin disease needs veterinary diagnosis and specific treatment. Wash hands after handling. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 25°C, away from direct sunlight.
Allerderm Spot On is a topical skin-lipid emulsion for dogs, formulated to help repair, restore and protect the epidermal barrier. Dogs with atopic or allergic skin, keratinisation disorders, or recurrent dermatitis typically have a depleted and disordered lipid layer, which allows moisture loss and easier entry of allergens and microbes. Allerderm Spot On replenishes those structural lipids directly at skin level and can also be used routinely in dogs with normal skin to keep the barrier well moisturised.
Ceramides: The principal lipid of the stratum corneum's intercellular matrix. Restoring ceramide content helps re-form the lamellar lipid bilayers that limit transepidermal water loss and reduce allergen penetration.
Cholesterol: Works with ceramides and fatty acids in the physiological ratio required for a competent barrier. Cholesterol supports lamellar body function and normal corneocyte cohesion.
Free fatty acids: Contribute to barrier lipid structure and to the acidic surface pH that discourages overgrowth of opportunistic bacteria and yeast.
S-I-S technology: Supports maintenance of a balanced cutaneous microbiome, an important factor in recurrent allergic and seborrhoeic skin disease.
Atopic or keratinisation cases: initial phase once weekly for 4 weeks, or 2 to 3 times weekly in severe cases; maintenance phase once monthly. Apply at multiple spots directly on affected skin areas, 3 to 5 drops per spot, roughly 10 cm apart.
Maintenance in healthy skin: once monthly. Apply at multiple spots along the dorsal (backbone) and ventral (abdomen) areas, 3 to 5 drops per spot, roughly 10 cm apart.
Twist off the top to open the pipette. Part the coat until the skin is visible, place the pipette tip directly on the skin and squeeze gently to release the drops. Use the full pipette at one session; storing an opened pipette is not recommended. For best results apply after bathing, and avoid bathing the dog for 2 to 3 days afterwards.
Carton of 6 monodose pipettes.
A transient greasy appearance at application sites is expected and settles. Discontinue and consult your veterinarian if redness, irritation or worsening of the skin occurs. Persistent itching, hair loss, odour or discharge should be assessed by a veterinarian, as these may indicate infection or parasites requiring specific treatment. For animal use only.
