Vetrina Hemeliv Syrup is a multi-active hematinic and hepatoprotective liver tonic formulated for dogs and cats, combining highly bioavailable iron (Ferrous Ascorbate 75mg/10ml), erythropoiesis co-factors (Folic Acid 1.1mg, Vitamin B12 75mcg, Cobalt 1.25mg), B-complex vitamins (Thiamine 11.25mg, Pyridoxine 11.25mg, Niacinamide 3mg), hepatoprotective Silymarin (20mg), and hepatotrophic Choline Bitartrate (1.8mg) per 10ml. Hemeliv addresses iron deficiency anaemia, nutritional anaemia, B-complex deficiencies, and hepatic stress in dogs and cats — supporting haemoglobin synthesis, red blood cell production, liver detoxification, and recovery from illness, surgery, and chronic debilitation.

Ferrous Ascorbate — 75mg: Highly bioavailable iron-ascorbate complex — iron (Fe²⁺) chelated with ascorbic acid (Vitamin C); the ascorbate component maintains iron in the reduced ferrous (Fe²⁺) state, which is the absorbable form via duodenal DMT-1 (divalent metal transporter 1); ascorbate additionally enhances intestinal iron absorption by reducing dietary ferric (Fe³⁺) iron to the absorbable ferrous form; iron is the essential component of haemoglobin (in the haem ring of haemoglobin, iron reversibly binds O₂ for oxygen transport), myoglobin (oxygen storage in muscle), and cytochrome c (mitochondrial electron transport chain); iron deficiency impairs haem synthesis via the rate-limiting enzyme ALA-synthase (delta-aminolaevulinic acid synthase), resulting in microcytic hypochromic anaemia; Ferrous Ascorbate has superior GI tolerability compared to Ferrous Sulphate due to reduced free radical generation and GI mucosal irritation from unchelated iron

Folic Acid (Vitamin B9) — 1.1mg: Water-soluble; essential for one-carbon (methyl) transfer via tetrahydrofolate (THF) coenzyme system; required for dTMP (thymidylate) synthesis from dUMP by thymidylate synthase — and therefore for DNA replication in all rapidly dividing cells; in erythropoiesis, Folic Acid is essential for erythroblast proliferation and maturation in bone marrow; Folic Acid deficiency causes megaloblastic anaemia (large, immature, nucleated red blood cells with defective DNA synthesis) and hypersegmented neutrophils; works synergistically with Vitamin B12 in the methionine synthase/homocysteine remethylation cycle

Dosage & Administration
- Cats & Puppies: 1ml twice daily

Safety Information
