Oriheal Vetparazone Ivermectin Antiparasitic Injection for Dogs & Cats

Oriheal Vetparazone is a veterinary antiparasitic injectable solution containing Ivermectin, manufactured by Oriheal Lifesciences. Ivermectin is a macrocyclic lactone antiparasitic agent with broad-spectrum activity against nematodes (roundworms, hookworms, whipworms) and ectoparasites (mange mites, lice). Vetparazone is indicated for the treatment and prevention of endo- and ectoparasitic infestations in dogs and cats under veterinary prescription.

Mechanism of Action

• Ivermectin binds selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, causing increased permeability to chloride ions, hyperpolarisation, and paralysis and death of the parasite
• Selective toxicity to parasites — mammalian GABA-gated chloride channels are not similarly affected at therapeutic doses (note: ivermectin can cross the blood-brain barrier in breeds with MDR1/ABCB1 gene mutation — see Safety Information)
