Atovaquone Veterinary Oral Suspension 375 mg/5 mL

Atovaquone Veterinary Oral Suspension is a flavoured oral liquid formulation containing Atovaquone USP 375 mg per 5 mL, designed for veterinary use in dogs and cats. It is formulated in a flavoured syrup base to facilitate oral administration when prescribed by a veterinarian.

Composition

Each 5 mL contains:

• Atovaquone USP – 375 mg

• Flavoured syrup base – q.s.

• Colour: Quinoline Yellow

Veterinary Applications

As indicated on the product label, Atovaquone is used as part of veterinary treatment protocols for certain protozoal and opportunistic infections, including:

• Babesia gibsoni infections in dogs, generally used alongside azithromycin.

• Pneumocystis infections in dogs.

• Cytauxzoonosis (Cytauxzoon felis) in cats, used alongside azithromycin.

Dosage Information
