Supportive herbal care — not a substitute for diagnosis and treatment. A low platelet count or anaemia is a symptom, not a disease, and what matters is finding the cause. In India the commonest reason a dog's platelets crash is tick-borne disease such as ehrlichiosis, which needs prompt antibiotic treatment from a veterinarian; a syrup alongside it is supportive care, and a syrup instead of it loses time the dog does not have. Seek veterinary care urgently if you see bleeding gums, nosebleeds, blood in urine or stool, black tarry stools, pinpoint red spots or bruises on the gums or belly, pale gums, weakness, collapse, or a fever that will not settle. Give only on the direction of a veterinarian, dose by current body weight, and use a dosing syringe rather than a spoon. Tell your veterinarian about every other medicine your pet is on, and consult before use in pregnant or lactating animals, in very young animals, or in pets with liver or kidney disease. Attend repeat blood counts so the platelet trend is actually measured rather than guessed. Shake well before use. Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Imu Lat is a herbal veterinary syrup used as supportive care where platelet counts are low and the immune system is under strain, such as during recovery from viral or protozoal infection, tick-borne disease, chemotherapy, or chronic liver disease. It is built on two plants with long traditional use in exactly this setting: Carica papaya leaf extract, widely used in India to support platelet recovery, and Tinospora cordifolia (guduchi or giloy), a classical Ayurvedic immunomodulator. Think of it as a companion to treatment during the weeks a patient is rebuilding, not as the treatment itself. Available in a 100ml bottle.
