Hester Cefshot Tazo is a veterinary-grade combination injectable antibiotic from Hester Biosciences, combining a third-generation cephalosporin (Ceftriaxone) with a beta-lactamase inhibitor (Tazobactam). This combination is highly effective against beta-lactamase-producing bacteria that are resistant to standard cephalosporins, making it a critical option for post-surgical prophylaxis and severe systemic infections in small animals.

• Sterile Ceftriaxone Sodium IP equivalent to Ceftriaxone Anhydrous: 500mg
• Sterile Tazobactam Sodium equivalent to Tazobactam Anhydrous: 62.5mg
• Total combination dose: 562.5mg

Indications

• Beta-lactamase-resistant bacterial infections in dogs and cats

Dosage & Administration

• Dose: 15–25mg per kg body weight
• Frequency: Once every 24 hours
• Duration: 3–5 days, or as directed by a veterinarian
• Route: Injectable — IV or IM as per veterinary guidance
