FOR VETERINARY/PET USE — Homeopathic medicine. Use under veterinary guidance. This is a homeopathic formulation and is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or conventional antipyretic treatment in cases of high or sustained fever. If your pet’s fever is above 40°C (104°F), persists beyond 24–48 hours, or is accompanied by vomiting, lethargy, collapse, difficulty breathing, or other serious signs — seek immediate veterinary attention. Do not delay veterinary care in reliance on homeopathic support alone. Shake well before use. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odours.

Bakson V1 Fever Drops for Dogs & Cats | Homeopathic Antipyretic Formula | Fever, Restlessness & Discomfort Relief | 30ml

Bakson V1 Fever Drops is a homeopathic veterinary liquid formulation by Bakson’s Homeopathy (India) designed to provide symptomatic support during febrile episodes in dogs and cats. The formula combines classical homeopathic antipyretic remedies traditionally indicated for fever accompanied by restlessness, throbbing, weakness, and general malaise. As a homeopathic preparation, the active ingredients are present in potentised (highly diluted and succussed) form. Bakson V1 is intended as a supportive aid and must not replace veterinary diagnosis and treatment of the underlying cause of fever — which in dogs and cats commonly includes tick-borne infections (Ehrlichia canis, Babesia canis, Rickettsia), bacterial pyometra, leptospirosis, viral infections, and post-vaccination reactions. Administer as directed by veterinarian or per product label.

Homeopathic Active Ingredients & Traditional Indications

Note: As a homeopathic formulation, ingredients are present in potentised dilution. The following describes the traditional homeopathic (materia medica) indications of each ingredient. Homeopathic medicines are regulated in India under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act. Efficacy claims are based on traditional homeopathic principles, not double-blind clinical trials in veterinary medicine.

  • Aconitum napellus (Monkshood — Aconite): One of the primary homeopathic antipyretic remedies in classical Hahnemannian homeopathy; traditional indications: sudden onset high fever arising after exposure to cold dry wind, extreme restlessness, anxiety, and fear accompanying the fever; skin dry and hot; intense thirst for cold water; fever with tachycardia and flushing; in the homeopathic provings of Aconitum, the characteristic picture is the rapidity and violence of onset combined with intense anxiety — particularly indicated at the very first stage of febrile illness before pathological tissue changes are established; in veterinary homeopathic practice, Aconitum is commonly indicated for fever with sudden onset, extreme restlessness (circling, inability to settle), and panting in dogs; Aconitum acts as the initial acute fever remedy and is typically followed by other remedies as the clinical picture develops; the plant source — Aconitum napellus (Ranunculaceae) — contains highly toxic diterpenoid alkaloids (aconitine, mesaconitine, hypaconitine) at pharmacological concentrations; at homeopathic potencies (6C, 30C, 200C) the alkaloid concentration is negligible
  • Belladonna (Deadly Nightshade — Atropa belladonna): The principal homeopathic remedy for the full-blown febrile state with intense local and general heat; traditional indications: high fever with burning dry heat, bright red flushing of face and mucous membranes, throbbing carotid pulse, dilated pupils (mydriasis — mirroring the atropine alkaloid action of Atropa belladonna at pharmacological doses), intense throbbing headache, sudden violent onset; in veterinary homeopathic practice: high fever with hot dry skin and mucous membranes, bright conjunctivae, restlessness followed by sudden stupor or obtundation, and occasionally convulsive episodes; Belladonna is indicated for the full active inflammatory febrile stage where Aconitum is indicated for the very earliest stage; pharmacological context: Atropa belladonna contains atropine (dl-hyoscyamine), scopolamine (l-hyoscine), and hyoscine — competitive muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (mAChR) antagonists that at pharmacological doses cause: mydriasis (iris sphincter block), cycloplegia, tachycardia (SA node M2 mAChR block), dry mouth (salivary gland M3 block), urinary retention (detrusor M3 block), and hyperthermia (sweat gland M3 block — anhidrosis → heat retention); at homeopathic potencies, alkaloid concentrations are non-pharmacological
  • Gelsemium sempervirens (Yellow Jasmine): Traditional homeopathic indications: fever with marked prostration, weakness, heaviness and drooping of eyelids (ptosis), dull apathetic appearance, trembling, shivering despite the fever, absence of thirst; the Gelsemium fever picture is the opposite of the Aconitum/Belladonna restlessness and intensity — the animal is dull, weak, and wants to lie still; in dogs: dull expression, heavy eyelids, generalised weakness and reluctance to move, trembling; particularly indicated for gradual onset fever, post-viral weakness fevers, and ‘functional’ fevers with profound debility; Gelsemium sempervirens source plant contains the alkaloids gelsemine, gelseminine, and sempervirine — strychnine-related alkaloids that at pharmacological doses cause convulsions and respiratory paralysis by glycine receptor antagonism at spinal inhibitory interneurons; at homeopathic potencies, negligible alkaloid concentration
  • Eupatorium perfoliatum (Boneset): Traditional homeopathic indications: fever with severe aching and soreness of the bones and muscles — “bone-break fever” sensation; intense myalgia and arthralgia accompanying fever; restlessness driven by the bone pain; periodic fever patterns (particularly indicated for malarial-type periodic fevers); chills preceded by intense thirst; in veterinary practice: indicated for fever with apparent musculoskeletal pain (reluctance to move, apparent pain on handling limbs or spine), myalgia, and restlessness from discomfort; clinically relevant for tick-borne disease fevers in India (Ehrlichia canis — monocytic ehrlichiosis; Anaplasma phagocytophilum — granulocytic anaplasmosis) where myalgia and bone pain are prominent accompanying the fever
  • Ferrum phosphoricum (Iron Phosphate — Ferrum phos.): Traditional homeopathic indications: early inflammatory stage fever — first stage of febrile illness before exudation and localisation; fever with flushing, rapid pulse, inflammatory congestion of mucous membranes; considered the homeopathic ‘tissue salt’ (Schuessler cell salt No. 4) for the first stages of any inflammatory condition; in Ferrum phos. the fever is less acute and violent than Aconitum or Belladonna — it fills the gap between the explosive Aconitum/Belladonna fevers and the prostrated Gelsemium fevers; indicated for moderate fever with mild restlessness and early-stage inflammatory signs; the source material — ferrous phosphate — provides the homeopathic provings basis

Indications for Supportive Use

  • Symptomatic support for mild to moderate fever in dogs and cats
  • Fever with restlessness and anxiety (Aconitum/Belladonna picture)
  • Fever with prostration and weakness (Gelsemium picture)
  • Fever with bone/muscle pain and myalgia (Eupatorium picture — tick fever support)
  • Early-stage febrile illness before veterinary diagnosis is obtained (use while seeking veterinary attention)
  • Post-vaccination mild fever and malaise
  • Adjunctive supportive care alongside conventional veterinary antipyretic treatment as directed by veterinarian

Administration

  • Shake well before use
  • Administer orally by dropper directly into the mouth or diluted in a small amount of water
  • Dose as directed on the Bakson V1 label or by veterinarian
  • Do not mix with strong-smelling substances (coffee, camphor, menthol) — traditional homeopathic guidance advises these may antidote the remedy

When to Seek Immediate Veterinary Attention

  • Fever above 40°C (104°F) — high fever in pets requires urgent veterinary evaluation
  • Fever persisting more than 24–48 hours without improvement
  • Fever accompanied by: lethargy, collapse, vomiting, diarrhoea, difficulty breathing, pale or yellow gums, bleeding, seizures
  • Suspected tick-borne illness (Ehrlichia, Babesia, Rickettsia) — requires specific antibiotic therapy (Doxycycline); homeopathic support alone is not adequate treatment
  • Any fever in puppies or kittens under 12 weeks — seek veterinary attention immediately

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odours; keep tightly capped; keep out of reach of children
