Assurem Acicare-ED is a veterinary prescription combination tablet containing Esomeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor / PPI) and Domperidone (a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist / prokinetic agent), manufactured by Assurem. Available in two strengths — Esomeprazole 20mg + Domperidone 10mg, and Esomeprazole 40mg + Domperidone 10mg — for weight-based and condition-specific dosing in dogs, cats, and rabbits. The combination addresses both gastric acid hypersecretion (via Esomeprazole) and impaired gastrointestinal motility with nausea and vomiting (via Domperidone) in a single tablet.

Mechanism of Action

• Esomeprazole (PPI): S-isomer of omeprazole — irreversibly inhibits the H+/K+-ATPase (gastric proton pump) in parietal cells; produces potent, sustained suppression of gastric acid secretion regardless of stimulus; elevated intragastric pH promotes ulcer and oesophageal erosion healing

Directions for Use

• Administer orally as directed by a licensed veterinarian
• Dogs: 1 tablet per 10–20kg body weight once or twice daily
• Cats: ½ tablet per 5–10kg body weight once or twice daily
• Rabbits: ¼ to ½ tablet per 2–5kg body weight once or twice daily
• Other small animals: consult veterinarian for appropriate dosing
• Administer on an empty stomach for optimal PPI (Esomeprazole) efficacy where possible
