Toceranib phosphate is a targeted chemotherapy drug for dogs, most commonly used in cancer treatment—especially mast cell tumors. It works differently from traditional chemotherapy by focusing on specific cancer cell pathways.

How it works

• Inhibits tyrosine kinase receptors in tumor cells

• Blocks:

  • Tumor cell growth

  • Blood vessel formation (angiogenesis)

  • Spread of cancer (metastasis)

• Designed to minimize damage to normal healthy cells compared to conventional chemo

Composition

• Toceranib phosphate: 15 mg per tablet

• Also available in: 10 mg, 15 mg, 50 mg strengths

Uses / Indications

• Mast cell tumors (especially non-resectable or high-grade)

• Other cancers:

  • Sarcomas

  • Carcinomas

  • Melanoma

• Helps:

  • Control metastatic disease

  • Slow tumor progression

  • Reduce tumor size and vascular supply

Dosage & Administration

• Standard dose: 3.25 mg/kg orally every other day

• Can be given with or without food

  • Do NOT split or crush tablets
