Venky’s Iopaint Povidone Iodine Antiseptic Spray for Dogs & Cats

Venkys Iopaint is an easy-to-use wound care spray for dogs and cats containing povidone-iodine, a well-known and effective antiseptic. This spray belongs to the class of iodophor antiseptics, which are complexes of iodine and a solubilizing agent, offering broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. Indications/Uses

Venkys Iopaint wound care spray is indicated for use in dogs and cats for the following:

• First-aid treatment of minor cuts, abrasions, and superficial wounds.  

• Disinfection of surgical sites before and after procedures.

• Prevention of infection in open wounds.

• Management of skin infections susceptible to povidone-iodine.

• As a general antiseptic for topical application.  

As one of the iodophor antiseptics, povidone-iodine works by releasing iodine gradually, providing sustained antimicrobial action while minimizing irritation compared to tincture of iodine.

Directions for Use

1. Clean the wound area thoroughly with mild soap and water or a suitable antiseptic solution and pat dry.

2. Shake the Venkys Iopaint can well before use.

3. Hold the can approximately 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) away from the wound.

4. Spray a thin, even layer of Iopaint to cover the entire wound area. Avoid excessive spraying that causes runoff.

5. Allow the sprayed area to dry naturally.

6. Repeat application 2-3 times daily or as directed by your veterinarian.

7. Avoid spraying near the eyes, nose, and mouth. If accidental contact occurs, flush thoroughly with water.  

8. For external use on animals only. Keep out of reach of children.
