Product details
Rubenal 300 Tablets are a specialized nutritional feed supplement designed to support pets suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and renal failure. Rubenal helps maintain the normal fibrous architecture of the kidneys and is recognized for its anti-fibrotic action, which plays an important role in slowing the progression of kidney damage and supporting long-term renal function.
Rubenal is recommended as a supportive therapy from Stage II of the IRIS (International Renal Interest Society) guidelines, or when serum creatinine levels exceed 1.4 mg/dl in dogs and 1.6 mg/dl in cats. When used as part of a comprehensive renal management plan, it helps delay the progression to end-stage renal disease and improves quality of life.
Rubenal contains standardized Rhubarb (Rheum officinale) root extract, which provides two key active components:
Rhein: Inhibits TGF-beta 1 induced plasminogen activator inhibitor (PAI-1), helping to reduce renal fibrosis.
Emodin: Inhibits abnormal growth of renal mesangial and tubular cells, supporting preservation of kidney structure.
This dual action supports kidney tissue health and helps limit further structural damage.
