Each 1 milliliter of the suspension contains:

• Febantel — 15.0 mg 

• Pamoate of Pyrantel — 14.4 mg (this corresponds approximately to 5 mg of pyrantel base) 

These two act together in a synergistic way, each covering certain kinds of parasites, to give a broad‑spectrum anti‑worm effect. 

🎯 Spectrum of Action / What It Treats

Drontal Puppy is effective against a variety of internal parasites, including:

• Roundworms (ascarids): Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina 

• Hookworms: Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala 

• Whipworms (Trichuris vulpis) 

• Protozoan parasites: Giardia spp. 

It targets both adult and larval forms in many cases. 

🧮 Dosage & Administration

• Dose: 1 mL of Drontal Puppy per kilogram of body weight. 

• Route: Oral (directly into mouth via dosing syringe or can mix with food). 

• Single dose is usually sufficient for many worms. 

• In Giardia infestations: It may require repeated daily dosing for a couple of days (2‑3 days) depending on the product instructions. 

🗓 Deworming Schedule / When to Use

• Start at about 2 weeks of age in puppies. 

• Then repeat every 2 weeks until about 3 months old. 

• After that, treatments often monthly up to 6 months.
