Indications / Uses

VIV KETO Spray is used in dogs, cats, and often other animals (in some listings) for skin conditions involving fungi and bacteria. 

Common indications include:

• Ringworm (dermatophytosis) 

• Yeast infections / Malassezia dermatitis

• Seborrhoeic dermatitis associated with Staphylococcus intermedius and Malassezia pachydermatitis

Mechanism of Action

• Ketoconazole: Acts against fungal organisms by interfering with fungal cell membrane synthesis.

• Chlorhexidine: A broad-spectrum antibacterial and antiseptic agent that helps in reducing bacterial load and preventing secondary bacterial infections.

The dual action (antifungal + antibacterial) helps in treating mixed or secondary skin infections more effectively. 

Directions / Dosage & Application

• Shake the bottle well before use. 

• Clean and dry the affected area(s) before application. (Ensure the skin is as free from debris as possible.)

• Spray directly onto the affected area from a suitable distance (some sources say ~5–10 cm) 

• Frequency: 2–3 times daily, or as directed by your veterinarian. 

• Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth. If accidentally contacted, flush with water.

• Prevent the pet from licking the treated area until it is dry.
